Personal Portfolio
I am the definition of teaching artist. I have taught art, dance, theatre, voice, and design to students ages 2 to adult. Alongside of being a teaching artist, I am also a singer, dancer, director, choreographer, musician, and vocalist. I create my own art and have been a part of many artistic organizations in my career. Click on the sections below to see some of the highlights.
DESIGNER
I have designed many items using Canva. From murals to worksheets, social media posts to koozies, I have designed items for every occasion big and small. This past year I enjoyed being in charge of social media for my daughter's school. I learned a lot, especially that I'm a total Canva nerd!
DIRECTOR & CHOREOGRAPHER
I started directing summer camps and choreographing musicals at kidsActing in 2002. I choreographed over 50 musicals and directed all ages and abilities in numerous performances throughout my 10 years there. I also opened and ran a non-profit branch of the theatre for less-privileged and students with special needs. Some other organizations I have taught theatre and dance for are Austin Summer Musical for Children, Longhorn Singers, St. James Academy, Drool of Rock, and St. Gabriel's Catholic School.
TEACHING ARTIST
I have taught art in public and private schools, elementary and middle schools. I was fortunate to help one of my schools become an International Baccalaureate School and continue this interdisciplinary and connected way of teaching throughout the rest of my career.

I have developed curricula and lessons in all media, including digital art, stained glass, photography, fiber arts, painting, ceramics, and many more. Making art with young artists is one of my favorite things!
MUSICIAN & PERFORMER
I have played tenor drum with Silver Thistle Pipes & Drums in Austin, TX, Oran Mor in Albany, NY, and MacMillan Pipe Band in Rockville, MD. I competed as an amateur soloist and have received 2nd, 3rd, and Tenor of the Day at different solo competitions.

I am also a singer, dancer, and played the fiddle as a young girl. My claim to fame was playing with the Texas Playboys when I was 10 and opening for Willie Nelson at the Texas Sesquicentennial Celebration in Houston, TX.
